Hi, I'm Tilson Thomas, a Computer Systems Technology-Networking student at St. Clair College with a passion for IT and technology. I have a strong technical background, having completed the academic curriculum for CCNA v7 and CompTIA A+. I'm constantly expanding my knowledge and skills in networking, cybersecurity, and software development.
Currently, I work as a Student IT Technician at the St. Clair College SRC, where I assist students with technological issues and queries, conduct regular maintenance on workstations, troubleshoot issues with networks, workstations, printers, and other peripherals, and escalate complex issues to the college IT department. Additionally, I administer the gaming PCs and users in the Nexus E-sports Gaming Lab and work at the Esports gaming lab Helpdesk to resolve queries raised by students.
I'm interested in pursuing a career as a IT analyst with the goal of working in cybersecurity and plan to continue my education in this field. I'm currently preparing for the CompTIA Security+ certification and learning more about ethical hacking and network security. My ultimate goal is to apply my skills and knowledge to help organizations protect themselves from cyber threats and attacks.
In addition to my technical skills, I'm an excellent team worker and have good interpersonal skills. I'm eager to learn and develop new skills, and I'm often seeking new responsibilities within various employment areas. I have an active and dynamic approach to work and getting things done. I'm dependable and have a keen interest in customer satisfaction.
Thank you for considering my profile, and I look forward to discussing how I can contribute to your organization's IT and cybersecurity needs.
